Personal Injury

What is Personal Injury?

Unfortunately accidents do happen. If you have an accident and suffer injuries or other losses and somebody is at fault for the accident, you may have a claim for personal injury compensation.

What is Clinical Negligence?

It is often referred to as Medical Negligence. When people undergo clinical treatment such as an operation at a hospital there is always the risk of failure. Just because the treatment did not succeed does not mean that you have a claim. If however, the treatment has been performed in a way which is below that which can be reasonably expected, and you suffer as a result, you may have a claim for compensation.

Should I look for compensation?

When somebody has been injured, lost income by absence from work or suffered property damage following an accident or clinical negligence, the law may find that it’s somebody’s fault. If you have been injured at work, hurt in a car crash, tripped in the street or are concerned that your medical treatment was not performed adequately, why suffer in silence when you might be entitled to compensation?

How much will it cost to find out?

Nothing. We can usually tell you if you have a case at the first meeting. We offer funding on a ‘No Win - No Fee - No Worries’ basis. As such it need not cost you one penny to bring your claim.

How long will it take?

There is no simple answer to this one. It depends on all sorts of things - like for instance, how long it takes for you to fully recover from your injuries and the response from the party at fault for your injuries. Moderate injury claims can be settled within 12 months. More serious injuries will take longer. What we can promise is that you will be kept fully informed about what is going on. Our aim is to get the result which is best for you, as soon as it is right to do so.

How much will I get?

Your claim will include loss of earnings, travel, insurance excess, damage to property etc. You will also recover an amount to compensate you for your pain and suffering. It is impossible to provide details as to the level of the award because each case is different. We will obtain a medical report to comment upon your injury, ongoing symptoms and any possible long term effects. We can then provide you with advice as to the value of your claim.
